General Information

The study program includes issues related to civil engineering, geodesy and cartography, architecture and urban planning, computer science and geography. Students acquire knowledge and skills in the field of acquiring and processing remote sensing and photogrammetric geodata, which are used in Topographic Object Databases, Geographic Information Systems, River Information Systems (RIS) and to create Digital Terrain and Cover Models, orthophotomaps and information modeling. about buildings (BIM).

Graduates of the " Geodesy and Geoinformatics " field will be able to apply - after completing the required internship - for authorization to perform an independent function in the field of geodesy and cartography in the field of photogrammetry and remote sensing.

Graduates will be prepared, among others, to:
  •  designing modern geoinformation systems;
  •  development of applications in the following environments: Python, MATLAB, C++, etc.;
  •  acquiring and processing imaging data from drones (BSP);
  •  acquiring and processing image data from satellite systems;
  •  obtaining and processing data in the form of point clouds from laser scanning systems;
  •  building 3D models of cities and individual objects;
  •   performing advanced spatial analyses.


A graduate of studies in 
Geodesy and Geoinformatics is prepared to work in geodetic enterprises and companies providing civil engineering services.

The amount of fees is set in Decision of the Rector of the Military University of Technology No. 244/RKR/2023 of 19 September 2023

Delivery of documents

After registering in the IRK online system, you must deliver (by 1 February 2024) to the university in person, through an authorized person or by post:

  • a personal questionnaire of a candidate for second-cycle studies printed from the system;
  • a copy of the higher education diploma - the original for inspection (in exceptional cases, at the registration stage, there may be a certificate of completion of studies with the completion result);
  • a document confirming the course of studies to date: supplement, index or study history card;
  • a certificate confirming knowledge of English at least at B2 level;
  • possibly other documents confirming your competences.

In the case of foreign documents:

  • a personal questionnaire of a candidate for second-cycle studies printed from the system;
  • a foreign diploma with an apostille and a supplement or other document of graduation from a university abroad, entitling to apply for admission to second-cycle studies in the country in which it was issued (original);
  • translation of the diploma and the supplement into Polish by a sworn translator entered on the list of translators by the Ministry of Justice (original);
  • a certificate confirming the knowledge of English at least at the B2 level (original);
  • copy of passport or other official identity document (original available for inspection).

Recruitment rules

 The start of recruitment for a specific field and form of study depends on the Rector setting a limit for admission to this field and form of study.

 The start of a specific field and form of study depends on the number of candidates.

Only a candidate with a professional title of engineer, bachelor's degree, master's degree or master's degree in engineering obtained in this field or the following related fields may apply for admission to a specific field of second-cycle studies:

  • geodesy and cartography;
  • geodesy and cadastre;
  • spatial economy;
  • geospatial engineering;
  • geoinformatics.

In the case of a candidate with a diploma of completion of another field of study or a diploma of completion of studies outside the Republic of Poland, the recruitment committee decides whether the candidate has the competences necessary to continue education in the selected field of study.

The scope of the qualification procedure includes:
  • preparation of ranking lists;
  • making a decision regarding admission to studies by entering the student list.

The decision to admit a candidate to second-cycle studies by entering them on the student list is made by the admission committee, taking into account:

  • competences necessary to continue education at second-cycle studies in a specific field of study;
  • results obtained during the previously completed studies;
  • the degree of compliance of the learning outcomes obtained by the candidate with the learning outcomes required to undertake second-cycle studies in a given field of study;
  • graduation result.
